  • Initially start tying with the wider end to your right. Then carefully extend it 12" below the narrow end.

  • Then cross on the narrow width and back underneath.

  • Now bring the wider end in front after passing it from the narrow end.

  • Then let the end pass up through the loop.

  • Loosely held the knot and the wider end to pass down from the loop in front position.

  • Now held the narrow end and slowly slide the knot up.

Windsor Knot
Windsor Knot is more popular among businessmen. This knot is wide, triangular and thick, which indicates elegance. It is best suited for spread-collar shirt and is easy to do. It especially suits men with long neck. Following are the knotting procedure.

  • Take the wider end of the tie and carefully extend it 12" below the narrow tie end.

  • Now cross the wider end over the narrower and bring it up from the loop.

  • Now bring the wider end down from around the narrow and bring it upright.

  • Now put the end down across the narrow end but through the loop.

  • Now carefully slip the wide end down through the tied knot in the front position.

  • Then tighten it and draw it up to the collar.

Half-Windsor Knot
Half-Windsor Knot can go with any shirt of any fabric. It is the modest version of Windsor knot. It is triangular and symmetrical knot. It will absolutely different look and style. Following are the knotting procedure.

  • Initially take the wider end and extend it 12" inches below the narrow end.

  • Carefully bring the wider end around but behind narrow end.

  • Now bring the wide end up.

  • Through the loop drag the wider end up.

  • Then bring the wider end around front beyond the narrow end.

  • Then again bring up the wider end through the loop.

  • Take the wide end down by passing it through the loop in the front position.

  • Now tight the knot and draw the collar up.

Bow tie Knot
Bow tie is commonly seen in the wedding parties or some formal occasion. Usually bow tie is accompanied with tuxedo. The appropriate size it should not pass the wider part of your neck. Following are the knotting instruction.

  • Take one end slighter longer than other.

  • Then carefully cross the longer end over the shorter end.

  • Now bring the longer end at the neck through the center position.

  • Then form as angle loop with help of shorter end by crossing the left.

  • Now drop the longer end over horizontal loop.

  • Similarly form an angle loop with loose end.

  • Drag this loop from the shorter loop.

  • Now tighten the knot by adjusting the ends of the loops.

Pratt Knot
Pratt Knot also known as Shelby Knot is wide but not as compared to Windsor knot. This tie is made from light fabric well suited for any dress. This gives you a popular look. Following is the knotting instruction.

  • Initially start with the inside portion of the tie facing out. Take wider end a foot below the narrow end.

  • Now take the wider end over but under the narrow end.

  • Then pull down the loop but that it is tight.

  • Then take the wider end beyond (over) the narrow end.

  • From behind the loop pull the wider end.

  • Gently tighten the wider end by bringing it through the loop.

  • Assure that the tip touches your belt buckle.
